Your Mission: Space Mission Manager (all genders)
We are seeking a Mission Manager to oversee comprehensive satellite missions from initiation to completion. You will lead end-to-end satellite missions, actively participating in the proposal phase, assembling and leading your mission team, and ensuring the successful deployment of satellites into orbit. This role fuses team leadership with project deliverables, positioning you at the nexus between customers, engineers, and suppliers to orchestrate mission success.
Responsibilities:
- Management of satellite mission projects from proposal to in-space operation.
- Interact with customers to understand their business needs and mission requirements.
- Build, manage, and lead a multidisciplinary engineering team to execute spacecraft missions.
- Ensure that project deliveries meet time, cost, and quality expectations.
- Identify and manage project risks and develop mitigation strategies to keep the mission on track.
- Act as a servant leader, guiding through context, empowerment, and enabling colleagues.
Your Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Proven record of managing end-to-end space mission projects.
- Experience in leading and managing diverse multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Familiarity with various project management frameworks, including Agile.
- Knowledge of space mission systems engineering or MBSE is a significant plus.
- Experience with mission analysis is a plus.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
