Performance Specialists in our Scientific Recruitment team are engaged on a fixed term, part-time basis - 20h/week.

The position is based in Berlin. We are a remote-first organization and support mobile and flexible working.

Objective of the Role

The primary objective of this role is to support the execution and optimisation of recruitment and advertising campaigns on the ResearchGate platform. This role also provides an opportunity to develop foundational knowledge of digital advertising and gain hands-on experience of setting up campaigns that connect businesses with a scientific audience.

The Team

You will join a collaborative and supportive advertising operations team composed of detail-oriented, data-driven professionals who are passionate about science. The team prioritises precision, efficiency and continuous improvement to ensure the execution of high-quality campaigns and user relevance.

You will also work closely with our sales team, who are motivated, solution-oriented professionals with strong communication skills and an in-depth understanding of client needs. They focus on building long-term relationships, identifying strategic opportunities and delivering customised advertising solutions to scientific and industry partners.

Responsibilities

  • Create, edit and publish recruitment advertising posts targeted at scientific audiences.
  • Adjust the targeting of recruitment campaigns based on research area, skill set and location to maximise relevance and performance.
  • Monitor campaign performance and make adjustments to increase engagement, helping to maintain the overall quality of recruitment advertising content on the platform is also part of the role.
  • Set up different types of banners and advertising campaigns in Google Ad Manager.
  • Work closely with the Advertising Operations, Product, and Sales teams to align user needs with commercial offerings.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently on repetitive tasks.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Interest in digital advertising or a basic understanding of online advertising concepts and a strong motivation to learn.
  • Comfortable working with data, spreadsheets and campaign performance metrics.
  • Student status valid to at least 09/2026

Your Profile

  • A background or experience in marketing, communications, business or a related field.
  • Familiarity with the needs of academic and scientific audiences would be advantageous.
  • Experience with digital advertising platforms and working with data would be an advantage, but is not required.
