Your Tasks:

• Independent research in the field of English language education and teaching methodology leading to a Ph.D. on a topic in English language education with a thematic connection to the division's research priorities
• Assistance in the development, implementation, and coordination of the division's research projects
• Collaboration in the teaching and research organization of the English Didactics division
• Preparation and delivery of courses in the field of English language education totaling 2,6 course units per term, including the administration of exams
• Responsibilities in academic self-governance and program administration
• Participation in the organization of the division's research activities (e.g., colloquia, conferences, workshops, establishing international networks, grant applications) and their documentation

Your Profile:

• University degree in English (Master of Education, first state examination, or equivalent)
• Solid knowledge of foreign language pedagogy
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
• Excellent command of English (written and spoken)
• Experience with or a strong interest in scientific research methods and enthusiasm for academic work
• Openness to interdisciplinary and interprofessional work, as well as strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team
• Willingness to expand university teaching competencies
• High degree of independence, commitment, flexibility, and resilience
• Basic knowledge of research methods in the field of foreign language pedagogy is desirable
• Teaching experience in schools is welcome
