Our Profile

An unserem innovativen Lehrstuhl erarbeiten wir aktuelles Know-how im Bereich der Komponenten der Elektromobilität. Im Rahmen unserer nationalen und internationalen Industrie- und Forschungsvorhaben vermitteln wir neben dem Projektmanagement auch ausgezeichnete Präsentationsfähigkeiten. Hands-on-Mentalität kann bei uns durch praktische Aufgaben in einer unserer zwei Maschinenhallen mit modernster Infrastruktur ausgebaut werden.

Getreu unserem Motto ,,PEM - Science for E-Mobility Production", vereinen wir acht Forschungsgruppen in drei Bereichen. Darin entwickeln wir die Produktionsprozesse von Elektrofahrzeugen und deren Komponenten (Batterie, Elektromotor und Brennstoffzelle) kontinuierlich weiter.

Research Group "Battery Production Management" (BPM)

Die Forschungsgruppe ,,Battery Production Management" am Lehrstuhl PEM beschäftigt sich mit Themen rund um den Aufbau und sicheren Betrieb von Fabriken zur Herstellung von Batteriezellen, -modulen und -packs der aktuellen und nächsten Generationen. Das Spektrum reicht dabei von der Fabrikplanung und -auslegung über die Gestaltung und Entwicklung digitaler Lösungen zur Qualitätskontrolle bis hin zur Bewertung innovativer Produktionstechnologien für die Batterie von morgen. Dabei konzentriert sich das Team neben der Erforschung neuer Technologien und Lösungen in der eigenen Pilotlinie - der ,,CELLFAB" - am Campus Melaten auch auf die Umsetzung von Beratungs- und Industrieprojekten, um das Wissen und die Ergebnisse schnell in die Industrie überführen zu können.

Your Profile

• Successful completion of a degree (Master's or equivalent) in a technical field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business Engineering).
• Ideally, initial practical experience in consulting, development, production, or e-mobility.
• Self-driven to develop new topics and utilize creative freedom.
• Structured and reliable work ethic, creative and pragmatic thinking, curious and motivated to continuously learn.
• High willingness to travel and flexibility.
• Fluent in both spoken and written German and English.

Your Tasks

• Significantly contribute to industrial partner projects from acquisition through planning to execution (e.g., in production and process planning, factory planning, and strategy development in e-mobility).
• Investigate exciting research questions on "battery production," particularly agile and digital planning processes for current and next-gen battery production.
• Explore how complex planning tasks in e-mobility can be simplified or even automated using 2D and 3D planning and simulation software.
• Develop new models for digital and agile factory planning or digitalization within research and industrial projects.
• Mentor students with their theses and conduct lectures.
• Gain early budget and management responsibility and independently shape topics.
