About the Role
SAP is looking for a professional (f/m/d) in Software Sales to join the SAP Academy in Hamburg. This is a pipeline/evergreen posting, with the official recruitment beginning August 2024. By applying, you have the option to be considered for the SAP Academy for Customer Success Program starting March 2025. Info sessions will be held in the coming months.
Who You'll Become
The Sales Academy Associate (f/m/d) will be responsible for prospecting, qualifying, selling, and closing new business with existing and new customers. You will empower customers by understanding their strategies and goals to drive cloud revenue growth.
As part of the SAP Academy for Customer Success, you will:
- Successfully complete a 10-month learn-apply program, including classroom and field phases, to enhance your sales role and customer-facing responsibilities.
- Engage in multi-dimensional, experiential learning focusing on digital transformation, global intelligence, human skills, business and technology acumen, solution/industry knowledge, and strategy/tools/process.
- Learn to drive value across the customer lifecycle through solution adoption, renewals, and account expansion.
- Receive onboarding in your local market with on-the-job training and mentoring from a Senior Account Executive. You will work both behind the scenes and directly with customers.
The program offers full-time employment from day one with practical learning applications. Upon successful completion, you will transition into a direct customer-facing sales role with ongoing mentoring and coaching.
What You'll Bring
- 2-3 years of work experience in a quota-carrying sales environment within a technology company or a role with significant business process exposure.
- Strong communication skills with fluency in English and German (written and spoken).
- Proficient interpersonal skills, including passion, curiosity, effective listening, professional presence, empathy, and a "can-get-it-done" mentality.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across diverse stakeholders and business functions.
- Strong business acumen, including demonstrated knowledge of business processes and/or industries.
About SAP Academy for Customer Success
The SAP Academy for Customer Success is a 10-month training program designed to develop the next generation of SAP talent in a globally diverse environment. The official program start date is March 1st, 2025.
Work Environment and Travel
- SAP offers a hybrid work model, with typically three days a week in the office or on-site with customers/partners, adhering to country-specific guidelines.
- A practical and immersive portion of the program involves 4-6 weeks of travel, split into two trips, to San Ramon, California (subject to final confirmation by Q1 2025).
- Participants must be fully engaged during specific program phases. Vacation should not be planned from March 1, 2025, to May 30, 2025, and from August 11, 2025, to October 17, 2025 (dates subject to change).
