Role Description

The Merchandise Manager role at SECTOR 6th is a full-time, hybrid position based in Berlin, Germany, with the flexibility to work from home part of the time. This role is responsible for planning and managing product assortments across performance sportswear and workwear categories, aligning merchandise strategies with sales targets and market demand. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring inventory levels, analyzing sales data, coordinating with production and sourcing teams, and optimizing stock to minimize shortages and overstock. The Merchandise Manager regularly collaborates with sales and customer service teams to understand client needs, prepares merchandising plans and presentations, and supports key accounts with tailored product solutions. The role also involves tracking industry trends, contributing to pricing and promotion strategies, and ensuring that merchandise plans reflect SECTOR 6th's quality and compliance standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong Communication skills, including clear written and verbal interaction with internal teams and international clients.
  • Customer Service experience in managing client expectations, resolving issues, and supporting long-term business relationships.
  • Sales skills with a track record of supporting revenue growth through effective merchandising, upselling, and cross-selling.
  • Inventory Management and Assortment planning skills, including demand forecasting, stock optimization, and category management.
  • Professional experience in apparel, sportswear, or workwear merchandising, preferably in an international manufacturing environment.
  • Good analytical and Excel skills to interpret sales, margin, and inventory data and translate insights into actionable plans.
  • Organizational and time management skills to handle multiple product lines, deadlines, and cross-functional projects.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setup in Berlin, collaborating both onsite and remotely with global teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, Fashion Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
