Project Overview
Join a large-scale VMware-to-AWS migration program for a complex enterprise environment. The project has completed Discovery and Wave Planning and is currently in the MGN Integration Design phase.
The landscape includes:
- VMware workloads migrating to AWS
- SAP landscape
- Citrix environment
- F5 infrastructure
- PCI-regulated workloads
- DMZ applications (e.g., Axway)
- End-of-Life (EOL) operating systems
Responsibilities
- Design and implement AWS target architecture (Landing Zone, networking, security)
- Lead VMware-to-AWS migrations using AWS MGN and AWS Transform
- Develop and maintain Terraform modules (mandatory)
- Plan and execute migration waves, including EOL, PCI, DMZ, and foundational services
- Support Citrix and F5 migration and redesign activities
- Collaborate with security, network, compliance, and SAP stakeholders
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an AWS Cloud / Enterprise Architect
- Strong hands-on experience with VMware-to-AWS migrations
- Expertise in AWS MGN and/or AWS Transform
- Advanced Terraform skills (IaC, modules, state management)
- Strong AWS networking knowledge (VPC, Transit Gateway, VPN, Security Groups)
- Experience with Landing Zones, Control Tower, and multi-account AWS environments
- Familiarity with GDPR and PCI-DSS
