Junior Project Manager -- Railway Vehicles

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage railway vehicle projects end-to-end --- from handover by the BID team through project setup, design, production, testing, authorization, and final delivery to the customer, including contract closure
- Take full ownership of project deliverables in terms of time, cost, quality, and safety
- Be accountable for project profit & loss and customer satisfaction, ensuring on-time delivery with targeted profitability and required quality standards
Project Team Leadership
- Build, organize, and manage the project core team; proactively address and escalate resource gaps
- Align internal teams and external partners towards common project goals
- Drive engagement, collaboration, and accountability across all stakeholders
- Define and communicate clear objectives across functions (Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Production, Commissioning, Homologation, etc.) and ensure deliverables are achieved
Project Governance & Reporting
- Prepare and present regular project reports to management and key stakeholders
- Conduct project gate reviews in line with internal governance processes
- Monitor, track, and optimize KPIs throughout the project lifecycle
- Proactively manage risks and identify opportunities
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the main point of contact for the customer and ensure strong, professional relationships
- Represent the company in meetings with senior stakeholders, including customer representatives
Your Profile
- University degree in a technical or business-related field
- 2--5 years of professional experience, ideally within the railway industry
- Experience in project management is an advantage
- Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively in cross-functional teams
- Proactive, structured, and solution-oriented mindset
- Fluent in German and English
- Willingness to travel occasionally (e.g. customer sites, Pilsen location)
