Senior HTML5 Game Developer - Fully Remote

About the Role

SOFTGAMES is seeking a Senior HTML5 Game Developer to enhance our games with innovative features for instant gaming platforms, reaching millions of players monthly. You will design, build, test, and implement features in live games, and expand our games to new platforms, ensuring excellent player experiences. Collaboration with producers, artists, and developers is key for knowledge sharing, process refinement, and best practice implementation.

Qualified applicants will be expected to complete a technical assessment.

Your Role

• Develop new Instant Games for millions of users.
• Maintain and optimize existing Instant Game features.
• Reduce loading times and bandwidth usage through code and asset optimization.
• Write robust, maintainable, and extensible code.
• Estimate task complexity and write technical specifications.
• Contribute to shared libraries and communicate changes to developers.
• Share knowledge and support colleagues.

Your Profile

• Passion for games!
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Shipped and maintained at least 2 games, preferably on multiple platforms.
• Strong knowledge and experience with PixiJS and TypeScript (HTML5).
• Ability to write well-abstracted, reusable, and tested code, applying architectural best practices.
• Proficient in optimizing and deep profiling of browser applications.
• Proficient with build systems (e.g., Vite or Webpack).
• Experience with automated testing tools and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to quickly learn existing code and tech stacks.
• Experience with the Facebook Instant Games SDK is a plus.
• Open-minded, humble, and eager to learn.
