Your Tasks

Strategic Leadership: Defining the technical roadmap, setting product vision, and conducting market research to guide development
Product Development & Design: Leading the design and testing of electronic subsystems and components, including PCB development, electrical engineering, and hardware-software integration
Team Management: Mentoring junior engineers, hiring, setting performance targets, and managing cross-functional R&D teams
Proposals: Coordinating the preparation of proposals for existing electronics products and for the development / manufacturing of new space electronics designs
Budget & Project Management: Preparing project budgets, tracking and optimizing, as well as managing timelines, milestones, and resource allocation
Compliance & Quality Control: Ensuring all products meet safety regulations, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
Manufacturing & Production Support: Collaborating with manufacturing teams, managing production quality, and ensuring smooth scaling from prototype to mass production
Stakeholder Communication: Reporting on progress to stakeholders and coordinating with other departments (mechanics, software, marketing).

Your Skills and Experience

Master's degree in Electronics or a related field
In-depth knowledge of institutional / commercial space project lifecycles
Strong familiarity with ECSS standards
Proven experience in space electronics design and verification
Hands-on, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset, resilience, pragmatism and flexibility
Team player with good organisational and communication skills within an international team
Strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and leadership competence
Motivational and collaborative leadership style that fosters engagement and high performance
Fluent in English -- good knowledge of German would be a definite advantage.
