The Context

Retail real estate is a €450B market still running on spreadsheets and email chains. Squarefeet is the Commercial Operating System built for shopping center operators --- covering leasing, specialty leasing, and media in one platform.

We have an active pipeline across Germany, Netherlands, France, UK, Poland, and Romania --- and no commercial hire yet. That's the opportunity.

The Role: Commercial Director

You own new business. Full cycle --- outbound, demo, negotiation, close. You'll also define the playbook, because there isn't one yet.

This is a founding commercial role. You report directly to the CEO.

What You'll Do

→ Build and own the new business pipeline across European markets

→ Run the full sales cycle independently --- from first outreach to signed contract

→ Represent Squarefeet at industry events (ICSC, MAPIC, GCSC and more)

→ Build the commercial playbook from scratch

→ Feed the product team with real market intelligence

What We're Looking For

Must-have:

  • 5 years closing B2B SaaS deals --- PropTech, RetailTech or adjacent vertical preferred
  • Experience with mid-market deals (>€50K ACV)
  • Hunter profile --- you build your own pipeline, you don't wait for inbound
  • Comfortable being the first commercial hire at an early-stage company

Strong plus:

  • German speaker --- our most advanced market is DACH and it makes a real difference
  • Existing network in retail real estate or mall management
  • Experience selling to GMs, Asset Directors, or Operations leadership
