Ever wanted to work on a product where breaking things on purpose is literally the job?
We're hiring a software engineer for a B2B SaaS platform that helps engineering teams at scale build genuinely resilient systems --- by intentionally causing failures before production does it for them. Think Kubernetes attacks, network disruptions, pod failures --- 100 chaos scenarios across 20 extensions, used by some serious engineering organisations.
The team is small and senior: 5 engineers, 1 PM, 1 designer. No sprawling org chart, no ticket queue disconnect from real impact. You'll own things end to end.
The exciting bit: AI is core to the roadmap, not a buzzword
The team is actively building an intelligent agent into the product.
That means:
- 🔍 LLM-powered experiment recommendations tailored to your system
- 🩺 Automated root cause analysis pulled straight from incident reports
- 🚀 Intelligent onboarding that removes the need for expert hand-holding
You'd be in early enough to shape the architecture, not just implement someone else's spec.
Basic LLM familiarity is the bar --- the complex agent work gets built together.

You'll thrive here if you:
- Have 3 years of Java backend experience with frontend comfort (TS/React)
- Are familiar with distributed systems across the cloud and on-prem
- ++Have worked in startups or small product teams where everyone wears multiple hats++
- Are genuinely curious about AI/LLM tooling --- side projects count
- Care about software craft: code reviews, architectural thinking, raising the bar
- Are comfortable being customer-facing --- this team talks to users directly
- Speak fluent English (German is a bonus)
