Sales Manager (f/m/x) Power Trading - Hamburg (Hybrid)

suena energy is seeking a driven Sales Manager (f/m/x) to join their growing team in Hamburg and contribute to the energy transition. This role focuses on building client relationships, closing deals in renewables and battery trading, and driving business growth in the German mid-market.

suena energy is a green tech startup utilizing AI-based trading software to optimize revenues for energy storage systems and renewable assets on short-term electricity markets. Their vision is a reliable, economical, and intelligent clean energy future.

Your Team:

You will collaborate with a supportive commercial team of 45 people, valuing ambition and feedback, within a fast-growing startup environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full sales funnel, from initial contact to closing complex multi-asset deals with mid-market clients (IPPs, Stadtwerke, project developers).
  • Develop account strategies, identify decision-makers, and lead negotiations.
  • Consistently close a target number of projects per quarter, expanding the asset portfolio.
  • Represent the company at industry events and act as a thought leader.
  • Contribute to sales process improvements and client journey enhancement.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline management using digital tools (Hubspot, Notion, MS Office).

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Proven B2B closing expertise in complex, consultative sales, preferably within energy/power trading, renewables, or batteries.
  • Experience managing long sales cycles and multi-stakeholder negotiations.
  • Results-driven, proactive, and persuasive, capable of selling strategic value.
  • Comfortable engaging with price-sensitive and well-informed clients.
  • Fluent in German (client-facing) and proficient in English (internal communication).
  • Proficient with digital sales tools (Hubspot, Notion, MS Office) and CRM discipline.
  • Possesses a growth mindset and eagerness to shape the company's commercial future.
  • Must be based in or near Hamburg for a hybrid work setup.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base Salary: €62,000 - €77,500 per year
  • Bonus: 80/20 split
  • Vacation: 30 days per year
  • Remote Model: Hybrid
