About Us
For our client in the field of modern mobility and rail technology in the greater Sömmerda area, we are looking for a Purchasing Manager (m/f/d) with additional tasks in process optimization and digitalization as part of direct placement.
Responsibilities
- Independent management of defined product groups (materials & services) including strategic planning and optimization
- Planning, execution, and evaluation of tenders as well as selection and assessment of suppliers
- Negotiation and conclusion of contracts at framework, project, or supplier level
- Close coordination with internal departments and purchasing management to efficiently implement requirements
- Participation in the further development of purchasing processes and introduction of new digital tools
- Management and optimization of the e-procurement system as well as identification of automation and AI potentials
- Interface function between purchasing, IT, and specialist departments for system and process issues
Profile
- Commercial apprenticeship (e.g., as an industrial clerk, wholesale and foreign trade clerk (m/f/d)) or a degree, ideally with a digital, IT, or process-oriented focus, or comparable qualification
- High affinity for digitalization, e-procurement, new tools, and technologies
- Experience in operational or process-oriented purchasing
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP in this case)
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Soft skills: high self-motivation & commitment, team orientation, constructive communication, and enjoyment of cross-departmental collaboration
- Fluent German and English language skills
