Taylor Hopkinson is working with a global leader in E-mobility to recruit a Certification Engineer who will be involved in shaping the future of electromobility. This is a great opportunity to become part of a team and developing innovative design and solutions for charging infrastructure.
This is a full time, staff role based in Salzbergen with hybrid working 3 days week in the office.
Role
- Support calibration law certification processes (initial and recurring audits) for charging stations within the framework of the calibration law process, including document preparation, coordination with various external certification bodies, and the coordination and support of testing procedures at the certification body.
- Analyze relevant industry standards (ISO 15118, IEC 61851, etc.) and regulatory requirements and deriving recommendations for action for existing and under-development Nidec products.
- Develop design solutions for electromobility in the form of DC/HPC charging stations within the product development process and in the maintenance of existing products.
- Create and maintain FMEA analyses (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) for the design of charging stations.
- Coordinate FMEA-related activities during the product development process, including the ongoing updating of documentation.
Requirements
- University degree (Bachelor's/Master's or Diploma in Engineering) in Electrical Engineering, Engineering, or a comparable qualification
- Practical experience in electromobility with a focus on DC/HPC charging stations
- Knowledge of standards for DC meters and their use in charging stations
- Experience with calibration law certifications (for meters or chargers) and knowledge of the German Measurement and Calibration Act (MessEG) and the German Measurement and Calibration Ordinance (MessEV)
- Fluent German and English, both written and spoken
