Your Role as Category Lead
As part of building and scaling our Global Indirect Procurement department, you will take end-to-end responsibility for your category as Category Lead (m/f/d) for Transport, Logistics & Fleet. You will act as a strategic expert, business partner, and functional leader, driving cost optimization, supplier innovation, and global performance improvement.
Your Responsibilities:
- Responsibility and implementation of the global Category Strategy in close coordination with the Head of Global Indirect Procurement
- Identification and realization of optimization and value creation potentials based on market analyses
- Definition and management of strategic sourcing initiatives as well as decision-making on key supplier awards
- Strategic management of central supplier relationships, ensuring performance, innovation, and long-term added value
- Monitoring and reporting of KPIs and global performance metrics for the category
- Functional leadership, development, and escalation management for your Category Buyers
Your Profile:
- Completed degree in business administration or comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in indirect purchasing or category management, with a focus on transport, logistics, or fleet, and global/cross-divisional experience
- Strong strategic thinking and ability to implement category strategies and realize value potentials
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to efficiently coordinate internal and external stakeholders
- Positive leadership personality who supports Category Buyers in strategic and operational tasks
- Fluent in English and proficient in German or Danish
