We are supporting a leading international chemical manufacturing business in the search for a Controller to join their dual-site operation.

This is a high-visibility role acting as a true Finance Business Partner to the Site Leadership Team, playing a key role in driving performance, cost transparency, and strategic decision-making at plant level.

The Opportunity

As Site Controller, you will sit at the heart of the operation --- combining strong financial expertise with operational insight to drive business performance.

You will be responsible for delivering robust controlling processes, improving cost visibility, and supporting the site management team with actionable financial analysis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on industrial controller who enjoys partnering closely with operations in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as Finance Business Partner to the local site leadership team
  • Monitor in-month production performance and material cost variances
  • Lead all month-end and year-end controlling activities, including:
    • Product costing
    • Cost analysis
    • Provisions for missing costs
    • Inventory valuation
  • Prepare monthly performance reporting and ad-hoc financial analysis
  • Lead the site Forecast & Budget process
  • Oversee annual physical inventory and analyse discrepancies
  • Provide financial evaluation for Capital Investment projects
  • Analyse and harmonise internal controlling processes
  • Maintain controlling master data (cost centres, cost types, profit centres)
  • Lead or participate in national and international projects

Your Profile

  • Degree in Business Administration, Finance or equivalent commercial qualification
  • Proven experience in Controlling, ideally within a chemical or manufacturing environment
  • Strong SAP and MS Office knowledge
  • Fluent German and English (written and spoken)
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to translate data into clear business insights
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders in a production environment
  • Strong communication skills and confident presentation ability
  • High level of integrity, reliability and resilience
