Lead QA Automation Engineer (Agentic AI Platform)

About the Role

We are looking for a QA Automation Lead to join a long-term client project focused on building an agentic AI platform that automates key parts of the software development lifecycle. This is a fully remote position, and candidates must be based in Europe.

What you will do

• Define and establish the overall QA automation strategy, quality standards, and quality gates for the platform and enterprise-grade systems
• Design, build, and maintain automated testing and evaluation pipelines covering:
  • functional testing
  • non-functional testing
  • performance and reliability
  • safety and security validation
• Develop and maintain automated test suites and regression systems for platform capabilities and REST APIs
• Validate reliability, correctness, and backward compatibility of platform releases using risk-based testing and coverage of critical user paths
• Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and product teams to define testability requirements, acceptance criteria, and failure modes
• Proactively contribute to requirement clarification and formalization when specifications are incomplete
• Monitor quality metrics and provide insights, risks, and improvement recommendations
• Support iterative development cycles while ensuring consistent platform stability and predictable behavior across environments
• Optionally validate outputs generated by agentic workflows across the SDLC (specs, designs, code, tests), focusing on accuracy, consistency, and safety

What we're looking for

• Strong understanding of standard enterprise software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Ability to work effectively without full specifications, especially in initial phases
• Strong automation background (Playwright, Selenium, Cypress)
• Experience defining QA automation strategies and quality gates
• Strong experience testing REST APIs and integrating QA automation into CI/CD pipelines
• Hands-on experience applying modern AI tools (LLMs / agentic systems) in QA workflows, including:
  • test case and test script generation
  • accelerating exploratory testing
  • requirements analysis and acceptance criteria definition
  • test data creation
• Proactive mindset, strong ownership, and effective synchronous communication
• English: Upper-Intermediate / Advanced

Nice to have

• Experience testing systems with evolving or partially undefined requirements (rule engines, decision automation, platform products)
• Understanding of AI safety and security testing concepts (prompt injection, red teaming, failure scenarios)
• Interest in AI-driven software engineering and automation-heavy platforms
