We are currently offering a permanent position as an Automotive Engineer (m/f/d) – Smart & Keyless Vehicle Access in Munich.
As an Automotive Engineer - Smart & Keyless Vehicle Access, you will be the key technical function at the interface between customers, partners, and internal development teams. We are looking for reinforcement for our existing team to support customer projects worldwide in the area of vehicle access.
Your Tasks With The Team
- Technical onboarding and enablement of customers & partners (workshops, trainings, best practices).
- Development of integration concepts (high-level architecture, interfaces, data/security flows) together with internal teams.
- Support of PoCs/pilots through to productive deployment: risk and blocker management, technical coordination, structured escalation.
- Hands-on troubleshooting: analysis of logs/traces, reproduction of errors, hypothesis formation, solution proposals, and feedback to engineering.
- Creation and maintenance of enablement artifacts: integration guides, runbooks, FAQs, demo setups, reference architectures.
- Moderation of technical jour-fixes with stakeholders (Engineering, Product, Security, QA, Project Management on customer/partner side).
- Ensuring consistent technical communication among all parties involved (German/English).
Your Profile
- High willingness to travel and flexibility for project-related on-site customer assignments are required.
- Very good English skills are a prerequisite for confident participation in technical discussions and documentation creation.
- Strong communication skills with a clear team and customer orientation are assumed.
- A proactive and structured way of working with clear prioritization, ownership, and clean documentation is essential for us.
- Solid experience with automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet) is a must.
- Practical knowledge from digital key projects or in the area of vehicle access or system architecture is desirable.
- Experience in the holistic support of a control unit's software or hardware development cycle is an advantage.
- Ideally, you have experience with international vehicle or device OEMs and relevant certification processes (e.g., CCC, FIRA).
- Knowledge in test automation (e.g., Python, CAPL, C++ or Robot Framework) is a plus.
- Basic security know-how (e.g., key management, provisioning) ideally rounds off your profile.
