What to Expect
- Communication Strategy: Responsible for implementing the communication strategy in communication with relevant external target groups, especially the media.
- Leadership: Disciplinary leadership of a larger or more complex team of specialists and managers at the lower levels.
- Media Strategy: Driving the further development of the media strategy in close cooperation with the Head of Communications and the Communications Strategy & Reputation Management department.
- Communication Planning: Steering the target group-oriented planning and implementation of external communication measures in a rapidly changing media environment influenced by algorithms and artificial intelligence.
- Consulting: Advising Executive Board members (ELT/SLT) on external positioning and managing the development and coordination of corresponding positioning plans.
- Media Relations: Responsibility for press and media relations and coordination for the further expansion of the contact network with all relevant media.
- Project Management: Overall content responsibility for topics in the areas of Strategy & Finance as well as Products & Technologies.
- Quality Assurance: Responsibility for the content quality management of concepts, texts, and templates for the External Communications department.
- Resource Planning: Creation and monitoring of resource utilization and development of departmental plans, including business, operational, and/or company-specific priorities.
- Reputation Management: Supporting Reputation Management in the communicative management of crisis situations.
What You Bring
- Many years of professional experience in corporate communications with a focus on external communications/media relations, in communications consulting, and/or journalism.
- Comprehensive methodological knowledge of people management through many years of leadership and further training, as well as experience in the functional leadership of larger communication projects.
- Comprehensive knowledge in board positioning and familiarity with corresponding media formats.
- Proven competence in writing texts and speeches and in ensuring consistent quality standards in text creation across a larger team.
- Extensive experience in independently handling highly complex tasks, including the development of necessary specialist strategies.
- Comprehensive knowledge in the areas of financial and strategy communication as well as related areas (e.g., Investor Relations, HR, Regulatory Affairs, etc.).
- Comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of corporate topics as well as current political, social, and economic developments, as well as a reliable media network, both with regard to leading and trade media.
- Comprehensive knowledge of modern communication channels and understanding of associated algorithms, as well as clear goal-, implementation-, and customer orientation with a strong sense of quality.
- Strong project management skills to set priorities, manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, and complete projects on time and within budget.
- Good negotiation and communication skills, persuasiveness, including towards top management.
- Fluent German and English in spoken and written form, as well as very good MS Office skills.
