We are looking for a passionate Full-time Lawyer with a focus on Contract and Procurement Law (m/f/d) at our Bayreuth, Düsseldorf, or Lehrte (near Hanover) locations. Could this be you? The weekly working hours are 20 hours.

Your contribution to TenneT

As a Full-time Lawyer with a focus on Contract and Procurement Law (m/f/d), you will develop legally sound solutions for exciting major projects.

• Main point of contact for projects: In this position, you will support the business units of onshore projects from the basic planning phase to contract conclusion with legal advice and will remain a point of contact for procurement and contract/claims management beyond that.
• Contract design and negotiation: You will independently manage the contract and procurement law support for procurement processes for our projects in Germany and, in cooperation with the purchasing department, will be responsible for the creation and negotiation of contracts and tender documents in German and, if applicable, English.
• Claims management: You will ensure the review and support the enforcement of our own claims against contractual partners, as well as the defense against unjustified claims from third parties.
• Legal advice: You will develop decision proposals for project management and will be responsible for drafting opinions and providing advice on contractual and performance-related issues as well as procurement law matters.

Your profile

• Legal background: You have completed your legal training with above-average results, including the second state examination.
• Experience in Contract and Procurement Law: You have relevant professional experience in contract and procurement law in a company's legal department or a law firm with corresponding mandates.
• Project experience: You have experience in negotiating complex contracts for long-term projects, ideally also in English, and are willing and interested in familiarizing yourself with new legal areas as needed.
• Convincing personality: You are characterized by enthusiasm and enjoyment of legal work, are able to combine different legal disciplines, explain complex issues understandably, and represent them with persuasive power.
• Language skills: Your very good German and good English skills, both spoken and written, complete your profile.
