Junior Marketplace Manager (m/w/d)
About the Role
As Junior Marketplace Manager, you will support the establishment and expansion of our presence on leading online marketplaces. You will work closely with experienced marketplace, e-commerce, and operations colleagues to help develop performance, operations, and brand presence across channels.
This role is ideal for candidates who have already gained initial experience in the marketplace or e-commerce environment and wish to develop professionally and strategically.
Your Area as Junior Marketplace Manager (m/f/d):
Strategy & Growth
- You will support the further development of our marketplace strategy for Europe, e.g., in the areas of assortment, pricing, and promotions.
- You will analyze relevant KPIs (e.g., GMV, Conversion, Returns) and prepare insights for the team.
- You will participate in assortment and launch concepts per marketplace, such as the selection of essentials or drop items.
Account and Platform Management
- You will support the operational management of our partnership with Zalando and other relevant marketplaces.
- You will assist in monitoring CXM and SLA metrics (e.g., On-Time, Return Time, Valid Tracking) and in implementing optimization measures.
- You will work in feed and attribute management using middleware solutions such as Tradebyte or ChannelEngine.
Content, Visibility & Brand Experience
- You will support the maintenance of a consistent brand presence on all platforms (content, pricing, promotions).
- You will participate in the planning and implementation of campaigns, launches, and retail media measures in coordination with marketing.
- You will work on optimizing product data, content quality, and conversion.
Operations & Data
- You will support forecasting, inventory, and replenishment processes in close collaboration with Operations.
- You will assist in coordinating shipping and returns processes (e.g., ZSS, ZRS, Carrier Setups) and SLA monitoring.
- You will create reports, KPI analyses, and presentations as a basis for decision-making for the team.
Your Strengths That We Need in Our Team:
- Completed degree in Business Administration, E-Commerce, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification or relevant practical experience.
- Initial professional experience (approx. 1-2 years) in the e-commerce, marketplace, or operations environment, ideally in the fashion or sportswear sector.
- Basic understanding of marketplace processes, fulfillment setups, and commission models.
- Initial experience with tools such as Tradebyte, ChannelEngine, Excel/Sheets, or BI tools is an advantage.
- Analytical mindset, structured way of working, and interest in performance and process optimization.
- Very good German and good English skills.
