Market Research Consultant, Specialist

Lead the design, development, and execution of strategic insight initiatives for both our Digital Wealth (D2C) and Financial Advice Service (B2B) businesses in Continental Europe. This role can be based in Frankfurt or Milan.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Analyze findings and make recommendations: Interpret qualitative and quantitative research data to present and prioritize actionable findings and deliver meaningful recommendations.
  • Gather insights: Collect insights from across the business and beyond to report on trends, both within Vanguard and externally (macro trends).
  • Build relationships: Develop positive relationships with key stakeholders, other marketing areas, and external agencies to deliver top-quality insights and research projects aligned with business strategy.
  • Communicate effectively: Clearly communicate at every stage of the research process, from interpreting internal partners' research needs to presenting findings and recommendations.
  • Set agenda: Collaborate with the Head of Client and Brand Insight to set the agenda for senior stakeholder Client Immersion sessions and deliver robust inputs.
  • Determine Brand Insight strategy: Define the Brand Insight strategy for the Continental European business, bringing fresh perspectives and actionable insights to Marketing Teams and agency partners.
  • Advocate for insight: Educate colleagues and partners about customer insight, demonstrating the value of both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
  • Organization and flexibility: Be highly organized and flexible to handle fast-paced and short-notice requests.
  • Tools and technologies: Understand and utilize existing and emerging tools and technologies.

To Succeed, You Will Need:

  • Financial services experience: Understanding of working in a busy Insights team within the financial services sector, including regulatory and information security considerations.
  • Relationship building: Ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders both within the marketing team and with users of the services provided.
  • Leadership skills: Natural leadership skills with the ability to communicate engagingly, whether one-on-one or in larger group presentations.
  • Curiosity and drive: The curiosity and drive to learn about Vanguard and its strategy and culture.
  • B2B and D2C experience: Experience working with B2B and D2C Financial Services is preferred.
  • Brand research experience: Experience running brand research and delivering actionable insights to the business.
  • Travel flexibility: Flexibility for regular travel between our European offices (London, Frankfurt, Milan, Madrid, and Paris).

Qualifications:

  • Proven related work experience, specifically in marketing research.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.
