As volatility, decentralization, and regulatory complexity reshape the energy landscape, they operate at the intersection of software, regulation, and physical energy infrastructure, building solutions that directly accelerate the Energiewende.

Now entering their next growth phase, they are looking for a Technical Project Manager with deep energy market expertise to drive complex technical initiatives and scale platform execution.

The Role

As Technical Project Manager, you will lead complex, cross-functional technology projects across product, engineering, and regulatory domains.

You will:

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of technical projects related to energy market integration, trading systems, grid connectivity, or platform expansion
  • Partner closely with Product and Engineering to translate regulatory and market requirements into technical roadmaps
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams (engineering, product, regulatory, commercial) to ensure timely and high-quality delivery
  • Manage timelines, resources, budgets, and technical dependencies
  • Translate German energy market regulations (EEG, Redispatch 2.0, balancing markets, PPAs, etc.) into structured technical implementation plans
  • Identify technical risks early and proactively manage mitigation strategies
  • Improve internal delivery processes and support scaling of engineering operations

You will operate close to senior leadership and have real ownership over mission-critical platform initiatives.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who understands both technology and the German energy market.

  • 4+ years of experience in the energy sector (utilities, energy trading, renewable developer, VPP, energy SaaS, etc.)
  • Proven experience managing technical or software-driven projects in complex environments
  • Strong understanding of German energy market structures (balancing markets, grid operators, regulatory frameworks, power trading, renewable integration)
  • Ability to translate regulatory and technical requirements into structured technical execution plans
  • Experience working closely with engineering teams (Agile/Scrum familiarity preferred)
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Fluent in German and English

Nice to have:

  • Experience in a startup or scale-up environment
  • Familiarity with digital energy platforms, energy trading systems, APIs, or flexibility markets
  • PMP, Prince2, Scrum Master, or equivalent certification
  • Technical background (e.g., engineering, computer science, energy systems)
