For our long-standing business partner AIRBUS we are looking for you as a new employee of Tintschl Technik GmbH to join our team as a Structural Analysis Engineer (d/f/m).

The role will be part of the Airframe Engineering organisation, supporting the Stress teams in the area of airframe structure analysis by developing and maintaining stress and structure analysis methods and related software applications for the entire aircraft life cycle.

While supporting all AirPower platforms, the team significantly contributes to technology projects and publishes results at international conferences, enabling the next generation of analysis methods, optimisation tools, and aircraft design. You will work within an agile, international environment to shape the future of aircraft design software.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Method Development: Develop, improve, and validate advanced stress methods and tools.
  • Software Life Cycle: Contribute to all stages of the software development life cycle for new and existing tools. This includes developing, adapting, and maintaining SW code, alongside verification and validation activities.
  • Engineering Support: Provide continuous technical support to Stress teams regarding methods and software applications.
  • Project Execution: Perform project work related to structure analysis for aerospace structures, including stress analysis, overall aircraft sizing, and Multi-Disciplinary Optimisation (MDO).
  • Global Collaboration: Interact and collaborate daily with international structure analysis teams.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must be eligible to work on military or NATO projects with the necessary security clearances.
  • Degree: Master's degree (or German Diplom) in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline.

Professional Experience

  • Analytical Skills: Proven experience in structure analysis using non-numerical and handbook methods is required.
  • FEM Expertise: Strong, mandatory experience in Finite Element Method (FEM) analysis.
  • Industry Knowledge: Prior knowledge of Airbus Defence and Space products is considered a strong benefit.

IT & Software Skills

  • Programming: Required proficiency in Python and C . Additional knowledge of FORTRAN is highly desired.
  • Methodologies: Solid familiarity with agile software development practices.
  • Innovation: A good understanding of applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) methods in software development is an advantage.

Language Skills

  • English: Advanced proficiency is required. You must be fully fluent in preparing written technical documentation in English.
  • German: Advanced level (minimum) is required.
