About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized individual to join the Graduate Center (GC-CIT) at the TUM School of Computation, Information and Technology in Munich. This role requires a willingness to work occasionally at the Garching campus (2-3 days/month) due to cross-campus collaboration. The GC-CIT is responsible for doctoral candidate development programs and managing doctoral processes for the School.
Your Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, organize, and manage the application and submission process for doctoral degrees in close collaboration with colleagues, chairs, professors, and the TUM Doctoral Office.
- Advise doctoral candidates on the application and submission process, as well as GC-CIT and TUM Graduate School services (via phone, email, info sessions, and in person).
- Manage GC-CIT members.
- Collect and verify proof of performance for the issuance of doctoral certificates.
- Prepare and follow up on committee meetings.
- Contribute to the quality management and service development of the GC-CIT.
- Support the GC-CIT management in daily operational tasks.
Your Profile:
- Completed vocational training in administration and/or comparable professional experience.
- Proficient in standard IT systems (e.g., Microsoft Office).
- Excellent German and good English language skills.
- Enjoys teamwork.
- Meticulous, independent, and responsible work ethic.
- Strong organizational skills, a high degree of responsibility, and service orientation.
- Quick comprehension (e.g., for implementing administrative regulations in a service-oriented environment).
- Understanding of university organizational structures and team-oriented decision-making processes.
- Enjoys advising situations, is open-minded, and interested in interacting with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong communication skills.
