Role Overview

As Director of Finance, you will build, lead, and professionalise the group finance function across multiple international entities. This senior leadership position is both strategic and hands-on, giving you the opportunity to:

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement a group-wide finance function, aligning with investor-grade standards.
• Lead and develop finance teams in Germany and internationally, including managing outsourced providers.
• Oversee all group accounting, consolidation, monthly close, and reporting processes for accuracy and timeliness.
• Ensure statutory reporting, tax compliance, payroll, regulatory tasks, and audit readiness.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to support company growth and decision-making.
• Manage treasury activities, including cash flow forecasting and banking relationships.
• Act as a key finance lead in M&A integration, supporting acquisition accounting and reporting alignment.
• Advise senior leadership and shareholders as a trusted finance partner.

Key Skills

• Qualified accountant (or equivalent)
• Significant senior finance leadership experience
• Background in software, SaaS, or recurring revenue organisations
• Experience in Private Equity--backed or similar investor environments
• Proven ability to build and scale finance teams and functions
• Expertise in group accounting, consolidation, and monthly reporting cycles
• Fluency in German; comfortable with DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) business environment
• M&A integration and investor reporting experience
• Strategic perspective with a hands-on approach
