What to Expect:
- Ensure continuous 24/7 availability and high performance of all managed platforms and applications as an Expert DevSecOps (m/f/d).
- Continuously analyze and optimize systems and build effective monitoring.
- Coordinate and drive the independent, goal-oriented processing of tasks and resolve complex incidents, collaborating closely with development units, external suppliers, and service providers.
- Contribute to the design of modern software architectures for IT systems and cloud environments, and participate in the creation of technical specifications and software requirements.
- Enhance software quality through systematic error analysis in incident and problem management, conduct regular reviews with development, testing, and delivery teams, and implement secure, performant, and scalable software components.
- Independently conduct tests using contemporary, suitable testing methods, utilizing existing concepts and procedures.
- Ensure the operational readiness of new solutions by incorporating operational requirements early and actively supporting feasibility and implementation phases.
- Automate workflows by analyzing and optimizing procedures and methods, and continuously develop reporting, monitoring, and alarming.
- Monitor system utilization as part of capacity management and initiate appropriate measures for stabilization or expansion as needed.
- Define development measures for platforms and infrastructure and make informed decisions regarding their implementation.
- Serve as the point of contact for all users of the managed applications, systems, and platforms, including Sales, Customer Operations, Enterprise, and Network.
- Represent the department in internal committees and with partners for the coordination and implementation of process changes.
- Support the maintenance and further development of the processing tools used by fulfillment and service units.
What Sets You Apart:
- Successfully completed studies in Computer Science, Natural Sciences, Engineering, or Business Administration, or an IT-related vocational training.
- Minimum 5-6 years of professional experience in IT, in the development or operation of complex system landscapes.
- Sound experience in application operations.
- In-depth knowledge in the following areas:
- Operating systems (e.g., AIX / HP-UX / Sun Solaris / Linux / Windows)
- Automation or ticketing systems (e.g., Remedy)
- Databases (e.g., Oracle / PostgreSQL) and standard applications (ideally BMC ERP / CRM / Billing / Mediation)
- Proficient programming skills in Python, Unix Shell programming, Unix Command Line Tools, Java, REST.
- Good understanding of complex IT landscapes and their interrelationships, in-depth experience with CI/CD toolchains (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
- Proficient in SQL and advanced knowledge of PL/SQL scripting.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Helm), proficient with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), and "Infrastructure as Code" (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Good experience with monitoring tools and log analysis (e.g., Grafana, Dynatrace, Datadog).
- Analytical, solution-oriented, and entrepreneurial thinking and acting.
- Good knowledge of ITIL processes and their practical application.
- Familiar with DevSecOps principles.
- Experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum.
- In-depth network and protocol knowledge, especially TCP/IP routing, HTTP protocol, REST APIs, and experience in load balancing.
- High customer orientation and the ability to win and retain customers long-term.
- Willingness to innovate and take risks.
- Several years of project experience (e.g., migration projects, introduction of new software, etc.).
- Experience in intercultural communication and collaboration.
- Ability to present complex issues in an audience-appropriate manner.
- High resilience and confident handling of critical situations.
- Fluent and expert English language skills (C1 according to GER).
- Fluent German language skills or the willingness to acquire them promptly.
This position can be full-time or near full-time part-time (minimum 30 hours).
