Your Tasks

• Build and operate a central platform for dealership management within the automotive sales value stream
• Develop scalable, event-driven, and cloud-native systems from the ground up
• Implement backend services and infrastructure using Node.js, TypeScript, and AWS CDK
• Design and maintain well-crafted Lambda functions to ensure efficient system operations
• Manage complex inventory management domains, encompassing vehicle stock updates and listings
• Integrate various external systems such as PVMS, Homenet, and WWS to ensure seamless data flow
• Execute trunk-based development and ship code directly to production environments
• Take full end-to-end ownership of the development lifecycle from architecture to operations
• Collaborate with an experienced team to define and maintain clean architecture and DevOps standards

Must-Have Competences

• Senior-level experience as a Full-Stack Engineer with a strong focus on backend and infrastructure development
• Deep proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript
• Extensive experience in designing and building scalable, event-driven, and cloud-native systems
• Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), specifically with AWS CDK or Terraform
• Hands-on experience developing and operating AWS Lambdas in a production environment
• Ability to integrate complex external systems such as inventory or dealership management platforms
• Willingness to work in a full-time capacity with 100% remote flexibility and a commitment to one onsite meeting per month in Southern Germany
• Full-stack capability with a clear preference for backend-heavy architectural tasks

Nice-to-Have Competences

• Experience with Apache Kafka, Kotlin, or MongoDB
• Familiarity with trunk-based development and a 'you build it, you run it' operations mindset
• Interest in shaping system architecture and challenging existing technical status quos
• Experience in the automotive retail or inventory management domain
• Curiosity to quickly learn and adopt new technologies within a DevOps-oriented culture

Additional Information

The position is 100% remote with a requirement for one onsite meeting per month in Ludwigsburg.
