Role Description
This Senior Frontend Developer role is a remote contract position focused on building and optimizing Webito's customer-facing web interfaces. The developer will design and implement responsive, accessible, and high-performance user experiences for storefronts and internal dashboards. Day-to-day tasks include translating product requirements and UX designs into clean, maintainable code, collaborating with backend and product teams, and integrating APIs and services into frontend components. The role also involves reviewing code, improving frontend architecture, ensuring cross-browser compatibility, and contributing to performance tuning and UI/UX enhancements across the platform.
Qualifications
- Strong Front-End Development skills, including modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, or similar) and component-based architecture.
- Experience with Responsive Web Design, CSS (and preprocessors), and building accessible, mobile-first user interfaces.
- Solid Web Development and Software Development foundations, including version control, testing, and debugging practices.
- Familiarity with Back-End Web Development concepts and integrating RESTful or GraphQL APIs into frontend applications.
- Proficiency in HTML, modern JavaScript/TypeScript, and front-end build tools (e.g., Webpack, Vite, or similar).
- Experience working in remote, cross-functional teams and collaborating with designers, product managers, and backend engineers.
- Background in e-commerce, SaaS, or high-traffic web applications is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
