We are looking for you as a Trade Compliance Specialist (m/f/d) - Focus on Chemicals & International Trade for our client, a globally active trading house in Frankfurt am Main.

In this position, you will be responsible for compliance with all foreign trade regulations and ensure that national and international trade in chemical products runs smoothly and legally.

Your Responsibilities

  • You ensure that all business complies with international trade laws (EU, DE, International).
  • You are responsible for the correct classification of our products (HTS, ECCN) and their evaluation according to the Dual-Use Regulation.
  • You conduct Sanctioned Party Screening and KYC checks to proactively exclude business risks.
  • You provide technical and disciplinary leadership to employees in the Risk Management department.
  • You are the central point of contact for customs authorities and external partners and advise internal departments.
  • You combine deep knowledge in export control with the specific requirements of the chemical industry.

Your Expertise

  • You have completed a degree (Law, Business Administration, Logistics) or have completed a commercial apprenticeship with a focus on Customs/Foreign Trade.
  • You have 3 to 5 years of professional experience in Trade Compliance or Export Control.
  • Experience in trading chemicals or pharmaceutical raw materials is mandatory for this position.
  • You are proficient in dealing with embargoes, export restrictions, and the examination of raw materials.
  • Your German and English are negotiation-level fluent.
  • Knowledge of SAP GTS is a clear advantage.
