Your Responsibilities

• You will conceptualize, develop, and operate backend services for our digital learning platforms and apps.
• You will develop and maintain APIs and interfaces for frontend, external systems, and partners.
• You will ensure stable data flows, clean integrations, and consistent data models.
• You will actively contribute to architectural decisions, refactorings, and technical concepts.
• You will ensure the performance, security, and scalability of our systems.
• You will work closely with frontend developers and support them with technical questions.
• You will implement tests, monitoring, and logging to ensure long-term quality and stability.
• You will observe technological developments and provide input for future-proof backend solutions.

Your Skillset

• Several years of experience in backend development.
• Very good knowledge in at least one common backend technology (e.g., Node.js, Java, Python, PHP, or comparable).
• Experience in the design and implementation of APIs (REST, possibly GraphQL).
• Understanding of databases (SQL and/or NoSQL) and data modeling.
• Experience with scalable architectures, services, and distributed systems.
• Experience with cloud infrastructures (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge in areas such as security, authentication, authorization, and data protection.
• Structured, self-reliant way of working and a high standard of quality.
• Enjoyment of collaboration in interdisciplinary teams.

Bonus Points

• Experience in the Learning & Development, e-learning, or platform environment.
• Knowledge of container technologies (Docker, possibly Kubernetes).
• Experience with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, or automated deployments.
• Experience with performance tuning and monitoring.
