About the Role
We're looking for a Battery Systems Engineer to support the development of next-generation electric vehicle (EV) battery systems, working across system design, integration, and validation.
You'll contribute to battery architecture, performance optimisation, and safety-critical systems, supporting the transition toward scalable electrification platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and develop battery system architecture and requirements
- Support BMS development and integration
- Analyse battery performance, safety, and thermal behaviour
- Contribute to system validation and testing strategies
- Collaborate with hardware, software, and vehicle integration teams
- Ensure compliance with automotive safety and quality standards
Required Skills & Experience
- 4 years experience in battery systems, EV, or energy systems
- Strong understanding of BMS (Battery Management Systems)
- Experience with system-level design and validation
- Knowledge of thermal management and battery safety
- Familiarity with automotive standards (ISO 26262 is a plus)
Nice to Have
- Experience with Simulink / Model-Based Development
- Exposure to cell chemistry and ageing models
- Experience in EV platforms or powertrain systems
