The Role and the Team

As a Payroll Manager (m/w/d), you will be part of our People Operations Team and play a central role in the digital and operational development of our payroll processes at our new location in Gießen. Daily payroll work is the focus, but you will also support transformation projects and continuously work on optimizing our workflows. With your quick grasp, hands-on mentality, and enthusiasm for technical innovations, you will take our payroll to the next level with us.

Why the Role is Exciting for You

• You will take responsibility for payroll-related matters, including the preparation and follow-up of payroll accounting for a defined group of employees in Gießen.
• You will support and manage transformation and digitalization projects, especially in the area of automation and the implementation of new technologies such as Workday for payroll.
• You will actively drive process optimization and contribute innovative approaches to the design of efficient and modern payroll processes.
• You will work closely with the central payroll team to optimize processes and systems.
• You will assist in the implementation and further development of Workday in the payroll area.
• You will participate in the creation of personnel-related evaluations.
• You will be the point of contact for employees, social security institutions, and authorities on all issues related to wage tax and social security law.
• You will ensure the correct application of labor, tax, and social security law provisions.

We Would Like to Get to Know You If...

• You have completed commercial training or a comparable qualification.
• You have several years of extensive professional experience in payroll accounting and payroll administration, as well as in-depth knowledge of wage tax, social security, and labor law.
• You can independently manage and optimize complex payroll processes and have a structured, precise, and solution-oriented approach to work.
• You are characterized by a quick grasp, a hands-on mentality, and enthusiasm for technical innovations.
• You are characterized by a professional, service-oriented approach to employees, managers, and external partners.
• You ideally have Workday experience. SAP in-house experience is a plus.
