What We'd Love You To Do (and Love Doing)

• Get involved in important projects that shape how Zalando manages its customers orders.
• Connect with stakeholders to understand the business side and help create tailored, scalable solutions.
• Oversee the whole product development process, from discovery to execution, adjusting focus as needed. Work closely with your teammates to tackle these complex challenges.
• Take architectural decisions, contribute to the prioritization topics, spearhead the documentation and learnings from incidents.
• Ensure system-reliability engineering and technical compliance.

We'd Love to Meet You If...

• You understand the importance of clean and high quality code, take a rational and pragmatic approach to decision making and software development.
• You are an experienced Java engineer.
• You've got experience with databases and know your way around SQL.
• You understand microservices, event-driven systems, and how to design APIs.
• You're self-driven, proactive, and always looking to improve.
• Great communication skills and experience driving innovation across multiple premises.
