We are looking for a (Junior) AI Engineer (m/f/d) in Full-time (40h) who is ready to move beyond experiments and start building scalable solutions for the media world of tomorrow.\n\nYou will be part of a high-impact team in Berlin (hybrid setup), working at the intersection of technology and real-world consultancy. The position is initially limited to 2 years with the option of extension and starts at the earliest possible date.\n\n## Your Profile\n\nWe are looking for a "builder" mindset, someone who loves to code and is hungry to learn:\n\n### Tech Literacy\n- You have initial experience or a very strong interest in designing algorithms and building Generative AI applications.\n\n### The Basics (and beyond)\n- Proficient in Python (pandas, NumPy), SQL , and data visualization.\n- You are comfortable in Jupyter Notebooks.\n\n### AI Ecosystem\n- You have basic knowledge of ML libraries (e.g., scikit-learn) and are eager to dive deep into LangChain, LLM orchestration, and vector databases.\n\n### Engineering Excellence\n- You value clean code.\n- Collaborative development via Pull Requests, code reviews, and CI/CD automation is part of your DNA.\n\n### Consultancy Mindset\n- You enjoy the fast-paced nature of consulting, learning how to translate business problems into technical architectures.\n\n### Language\n- English (Must-have): Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) are required to effectively interact with our team.\n- German (Nice-to-have): Proficiency in German is a strong plus for collaborating with clients and partners.\n\n## Our Commitment To You\n\nZDF Sparks is a workplace for curious, ambitious, and collaborative AI trendsetters who are excited about working on new and continuously changing customer challenges.
