Our client is a technology company that builds decentralized digital identity solutions. They believe that everyone has the right to own and control their data, and they are committed to creating a trusted digital credentials ecosystem that empowers businesses and individuals to securely exchange data and services across borders and industries.

They are in search of a Senior Full Stack Engineering Manager with deep expertise in backend systems (Rust, TypeScript, microservices, cloud) to lead multiple engineering teams building further their platform.

This role blends people leadership with technical leadership: you will grow high-performing full-stack teams, define best practices across the stack, and remain hands-on in critical technical decisions to ensure their systems are secure, scalable, and performant.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple engineering teams, providing vision, direction, and coaching to managers, staff engineers, and senior ICs
• Drive engineering execution and on-time delivery of secure, performant, and customer-centric systems
• Oversee and contribute to the design and development of high-scale, high-performance distributed production systems
• Collaborate with product, design, and business stakeholders to define and execute the technology roadmap
• Establish and evolve engineering best practices, delivery processes, and quality standards to scale effectively
• Mentor and develop engineering leaders, fostering career growth, leadership depth, and technical excellence

Requirements

• Proven track record of leading engineering organizations in global, high-growth environments while driving on-time delivery of high-quality systems at scale
• Possess strong leadership skills: coaching, mentoring, developing leaders, and fostering high-performing, inclusive teams
• Are skilled at balancing strategic vision with practical execution, aligning engineering teams with business outcomes
• Possess deep backend expertise in Rust (required), with strong knowledge of TypeScript/Node.js; Dart experience is preferred; familiarity with C#, Go, or similar is a plus
• Have experience with React/Next.js and/or Flutter, and demonstrate a solid understanding of modern web and/or mobile development practices
• Demonstrate proven success in designing, deploying, and scaling microservices in cloud environments, specifically, Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Advocate for privacy, security, cryptography, and resilient system design; experience with asymmetric cryptography and identity/authentication domains is a strong plus
• Are skilled at balancing technical leadership and people leadership, growing teams while staying engaged in critical technical decisions
• Excel at cross-functional collaboration with product, design, and security stakeholders
• Thrive in fast-moving startup environments, building autonomous teams that experiment, learn, and deliver at speed
