About TTTech ZYNE
TTTech ZYNE is a joint venture between TTTech and Verbund, building a hybrid edge-cloud energy management platform that gives industrial operators real-time control over their energy assets. We are helping shape the energy transition in Austria and Germany, one site at a time.
The Challenge You'll Own
You'll build the control interfaces and optimization features that power the Zyne Energy Platform, end to end. From the dashboards operators rely on daily, to the backend services that execute control commands safely across real energy infrastructure. This is not a ticket-factory role. You will own what you ship, and customers will feel it.
You'll join a small, focused Site Optimization team (4 engineers) within a broader 20-person engineering organization.
What You'll Build
- Operator web application using Vue 3, Nuxt 3, and TypeScript
- REST and WebSocket APIs on Node.js/Express with proper auth, validation, and error handling
- Command & Control interfaces for device management, scheduling, and automated energy optimization
- Event-driven integrations with Azure services for real-time command dispatch
- Site configuration tooling that models customer energy assets and enables precise control strategies
- Monitoring, alerting, and test coverage for everything you ship
What We're Looking For
- 5 years of hands-on software engineering experience
- Fluent German (C1 or native level), both written and spoken.
- Strong TypeScript proficiency with Vue.js or React
- Solid Node.js and Express backend experience
- Experience building and consuming REST APIs and WebSocket connections
- Understanding of state management patterns (Pinia, Vuex, or equivalent)
- Modern CSS skills (Tailwind, SCSS) and responsive design
- Professional English for collaboration within our international engineering team(s)
What Will Set You Apart
- Experience with Nuxt and server-side rendering
- Familiarity with Azure services (Event Grid, Functions, Storage)
- Understanding of control systems, automation, or rule engines
- Experience with real-time data visualization
- Knowledge of energy sector concepts or industrial applications
- Comfort working alongside AI coding agents and AI-augmented workflows
What We Offer
- Direct impact on the energy transition in Austria and Germany
- High ownership within a small, autonomous team
- An AI-augmented engineering culture: AI agents and workflows are part of how we build
- Fully remote, with optional co-working from our Munich, Vienna, or Novi Sad offices
- Competitive compensation and benefits
