Data Engineer (m/f/d) - MDM Platform Solutions

Requirements

Must have:

• Completed education in IT/computer science (e.g., IT specialist apprenticeship, specialist for application development) or a related university degree (Computer Science, Business Informatics) or equivalent qualification
• Proven experience working with data models and data platforms, experience with PIM/MDM systems is a plus
• Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and ideally PIM/MDM processes
• Familiar or experience with agile methodologies and cross-functional team collaboration
• Structured, organized, self-directed, and solution-oriented working style with high quality standards
• Very good German & English skills (spoken and written)
• Confident use of MS Office applications

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, implementation, and configuration of scalable data models based on complex functional and technical requirements, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture
• Translate strategic business needs into robust, future-proof data structures and processes that support cross-functional initiatives
• Act as a key partner to Product Owners and stakeholders, prioritizing and delivering data-related user-stories
• Oversee quality assurance and validation processes for data models, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and compliance with internal standards
• Own and maintain comprehensive documentation of data models, configurations, and technical workflows to support transparency and knowledge sharing
• Champion continuous improvement of our data platforms and architecture, identifying opportunities for optimization, automation, and innovation
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior data specialists and engineers
• Ensure alignment between data engineering initiatives and broader organizational goals, acting as a bridge between technical and business domains
