Senior Software Engineer in Test (Productization)
Job Responsibilities
- Analyze software and system-level requirements to design and develop comprehensive test scenarios that validate both functional and non-functional use cases.
- Collaborate with firmware and architecture teams to design and develop system-level test cases that ensure robust validation and comprehensive feature coverage.
- Automate developed test cases, ensuring compatibility, consistency, and stability across heterogeneous toolchain environments and build systems.
- Help plan and prioritize engineering work packages in coordination with project management and tech leadership to achieve project goals.
Education & Qualifications
- Good university degree (or equivalent experience), ideally in a numerate subject.
Essential Skills & Qualities
- 6 years of experience in firmware software development, verification, and validation of firmware for subsystems or full systems across pre-silicon and post-silicon stages.
- Hands-on experience in system integration, test specification development, and automating test cases.
- Demonstrated understanding of firmware and operating systems across the software stack, including U-Boot, RSE, TF-A, Xen, Zephyr, AAOS, AGL, and QNX.
- Strong programming skills in embedded C/C++, Python, and Bash/Shell scripting, with hands-on experience using Git, Pytest, GitLab/GitHub.
Desirable Skills & Qualities
- A dedicated and detail-oriented tester passionate about quality, enjoys testing embedded software, and is confident in identifying and clearly communicating defects.
- Hands-on experience in test environments (virtual platform, FPGA boards, Test boards, etc.) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, thriving in collaborative working environments.
