- Customer Solutions Engineer
About the Role
Atmen is seeking a Customer Solutions Engineer to join our Operations Team. This role is crucial for driving customer onboarding, implementation, and delivery, ensuring customers successfully set up and operate Atmen's platform. You will guide customers through onboarding, assist with data upload and structuring, validate configuration quality, and support them through pre-certification and audit readiness. You will collaborate closely with customers, internal regulatory experts, and the product team to translate customer feedback and real-world constraints into product improvements.
⚠️ Note: This is not a software engineering role. While you will work with developers, you will not be responsible for fixing code bugs or building core product features.
🎯 Your Mission
Ensure customers achieve value quickly and reliably by leading a structured onboarding and implementation journey, including platform setup, data readiness, quality checks, and operational support through certification milestones.
🧩 Key Responsibilities
Customer Onboarding & Implementation (B2B SaaS)
- Own the onboarding and implementation process for a dedicated customer portfolio.
- Lead onboarding calls, workshops, and regular check-ins to ensure structured progress and customer success.
- Assist customers in setting up their Atmen workspace, ensuring correct structuring and availability of required inputs and operational data.
- Guide customers through platform configuration and process adoption for a swift path to value.
Data Setup, Validation & Quality Checks
- Support customers in uploading and structuring essential operational and compliance-related data.
- Validate customer data and platform configurations through rigorous testing and quality checks.
- Proactively identify and resolve inconsistencies, missing information, or risk points in collaboration with the customer.
- Ensure customers are operationally prepared for pre-certification and audit readiness.
Issue Tracking, Bug Reporting & Product Feedback
- Investigate customer-reported issues, differentiating between configuration errors, data issues, and product bugs.
- Clearly and consistently document and report bugs to the product and engineering teams.
- Track issues to resolution, maintaining transparent communication with customers.
- Provide structured product feedback based on practical customer delivery experience. You will report and manage bugs, but not fix them. Code-heavy topics will be escalated to the engineering team.
Regulatory & Certification Sparring Partner
While deep regulatory expertise is not a prerequisite, a curiosity and comfort with complex regulatory topics are essential.
- Act as a sparring partner for customers and internal teams on the practical application of certification requirements.
- Understand key regulatory topics relevant to customer onboarding and certification workflows.
- Support customers during pre-certification phases, assisting with workflow, documentation, and data readiness.
- Collaborate with the Operations Lead and regulatory experts in audits and related calls concerning Atmen's platform or process implementation.
Operational Excellence & Scaling Delivery
- Contribute to developing and continuously improving onboarding playbooks, templates, and delivery best practices.
- Help standardize recurring processes to enable Atmen's scalable delivery across a growing customer base.
- Support internal operational projects and process optimization initiatives.
🏆 Requirements (Must-Haves)
- 3 years of professional experience in roles such as:
- B2B SaaS Implementation
- Technical Consultant
- Customer Delivery Manager
- Technical Customer Success Manager
- Solutions Engineer / Architect
- Frontend Software Engineer
- Hands-on experience implementing a B2B SaaS product, including customer onboarding and driving adoption.
- Strong client-facing skills with a proven ability to manage stakeholders professionally and systematically.
- Proficiency in working with data: understanding requirements, identifying gaps, validating quality, and supporting customers with data preparation.
- A structured problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to investigating and resolving issues.
- High sense of ownership and accountability, with the ability to manage customer communication and follow-ups reliably.
- Excellent written and spoken English, with the capability to articulate complex topics clearly.

🎓 Education
- Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Sustainability, Energy, Management & Technology, Business & Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

- Fluency in English
- Willingness to work regularly in our offices in Munich, Germany or Madrid, Spain.
