Your Responsibilities

In our Omnichannel business unit within the Business Process and Configuration Tribe, we are seeking a Software Engineer Backend (m/f/d) for our locations in Karlsruhe, Munich, or Münster.

Key Tasks:

  • Develop and maintain backend components for outsourcing, agency solutions, and sourcing within our banking application.
  • Work with technologies such as Java, Spring / Spring Boot, and DB2 / PostgreSQL, with prior experience in microservices development.
  • Analyze the existing application landscape, identify optimization potential in processes and interfaces, and independently develop solutions to evolve the architecture and ensure reliable integration into the system landscape.
  • Ensure the quality of your work through automated tests, code reviews, and continuous integration.
  • Embrace cross-functional collaboration in an agile organization, driving clean code and modular development.

Your Profile

  • Completed degree in Computer Science or Business Informatics, or equivalent qualification with several years of relevant professional experience.
  • Good knowledge of backend development with Java, SQL, DB2, PostgreSQL, Spring / Spring Boot, OpenShift, REST, Maven, and Git.
  • Experience with legacy systems and a solid foundation in microservices development, coupled with strong analytical skills and enjoyment in understanding and optimizing complex processes.
  • Fluent German (C1 level minimum) and good English (B2 level) language skills.
  • Prior experience with agile development (Scrum, SAFe) is advantageous.
  • You work independently, with a focus on quality, are communicative, possess strong teamwork skills, and are consistently motivated to develop further.
