Your Role
For our Controlling and Rating Tribe, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer Fullstack / Application Architect for the Rating Banks department (m/f/d) in Aschheim, Berlin, Münster, or Karlsruhe. You will be part of the "Rating Privatkunden" squad, working collaboratively with 16 colleagues across different locations and with diverse interfaces.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop and own solutions within the "VR-Rating" and "Banking Workspace" areas on our modern omnichannel platform.
- Create and maintain test automation scripts, and in coordination with test management, execute automated application tests at various levels, documenting the results.
- Act as an expert and coach for your team colleagues in test automation, sharing your knowledge.
- Develop technical concepts and implement features in coordination with the Product Owner and System Architects.
- Conduct code reviews and advance system architectures, considering new technological challenges and requirements.
- Perform unit tests, bug fixing, maintenance, and last-level support.
- Develop test-driven using modern programming languages, common frameworks, and cutting-edge technologies, while promoting clean code and modular development in an agile organization.
Your Profile
- Completed degree in Computer Science or Business Informatics with several years of professional experience in software development, or a comparable qualification. Banking knowledge, especially in credit processes, is desirable.
- Experience with SCRUM or other agile development methodologies with a DevSecOps approach.
- Several years of practical experience in test automation using tools like Selenium / FitNesse, Playwright, or Cypress, as well as experience with test management tools.
- Good knowledge of:
- Java
- Java Frameworks (Spring and Spring Boot, REST API, JUnit)
- Development of microservices with Java
- Frontend development (Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, HTML)
- Database technology (SQL, DB2, Oracle, JPA, JDBC)
- Container technologies (OpenShift, Jenkins, Docker)
- Development environments (IntelliJ, VS Code, Eclipse)
- Collaboration Tools (GIT/Bitbucket, Jira, and Confluence)
- Enjoy working in agile teams, possess strong communication and social skills, a high quality awareness, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to agile values (focus, openness, respect, courage, and commitment).
- Fluent German (minimum C1 level) and good English skills (B2 level).
