A well-known Japanese manufacturer is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive HR Administrator / Coordinator to support the overall human resources operations. This role is responsible for providing administrative assistance across a wide range of HR functions, including employee lifecycle management, record keeping, and expatriate support.

  • TYPE: Full time, Permanent (6-month probation period)
  • WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday, 40 hrs/week
  • SALARY: €45,000 to €50,000 dependant on experience
  • START: ASAP
  • LOCATION: Krefeld, Germany (Office based, but 1 day work from home can be applicable)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support in all HR areas including recruitment, onboarding, training coordination, employee data management, and offboarding.
  • Maintain and update employee records in accordance with legal requirements and internal policies.
  • Assist in the preparation of HR documents such as employment contracts, letters, reports, and HR-related communications.
  • Support HR projects such as policy implementation, compliance reviews, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Serve as a point of contact for day-to-day HR-related inquiries from employees and management.
  • Provide full support to expatriate employees, including:
    • Visa and work permit application/renewal coordination
    • Relocation assistance (housing, utilities, local registration)
    • Orientation and ongoing support during the assignment
    • Liaison with government agencies, relocation vendors, and internal departments
    • Help ensure compliance with local labor laws and company policies.
  • Assist in organizing company events, training sessions, and other HR-related activities.
  • Support company events, meetings, and internal communications.
  • Manage general office administration, including office supplies, facility maintenance, and vendor management.

Ideal Candidates

  • Fluent in German and English
  • Understanding of Japanese is advantageous
  • 2+ years of experience in HR and/or general affairs administrative roles
  • Experience supporting expatriate staff is highly preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
