Key Account Manager - Remote (Germany)
C.H. Robinson is seeking a Key Account Manager (KAM) to drive growth and maximize retention within a portfolio of accounts in Germany. The KAM will create demand, identify new opportunities, and sell creative solutions tailored to customer needs. This role serves as the primary point of accountability for customer advocacy, driving continuous improvement, and collaborating across teams and geographies to meet customer commitments. Utilizing a deep understanding of C.H. Robinson's industry-leading modes, services, products, technology, and business processes, Key Account Managers will retain and grow customers by selling diverse products and services.
This is a fully remote position, leveraging cutting-edge tools for collaboration and innovation.
Duties and Responsibilities
Business Development
- Build and expand strategic relationships across customer supply chain functions.
- Drive market share growth through active pipeline management and CRM qualification.
- Conduct business reviews using data and market intelligence to uncover growth opportunities.
- Lead complex negotiations and pricing strategies at management/director level.
- Confidently represent digital solutions, applying technology and analytics to customer strategy.
Customer Experience
- Act as a customer advocate, ensuring alignment and prioritization of internal resources.
- Collaborate with operations and supply teams to deliver optimal execution and meet KPIs.
- Manage conflict and navigate challenging conversations with tact and diplomacy.
Financial Accountability & Process Efficiency
- Monitor account health through proactive review of financial results and performance reports.
- Identify and implement process improvements and cost-saving solutions for customers.
Qualifications
Required:
- High School diploma.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in sales and/or account management.
- Ability to travel up to 30% (domestically and internationally).
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Demonstrates and drives a data-driven approach.
- Demonstrated influencing, negotiation, collaboration, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proven track record of delivering measurable financial results through sales or account management solutions.
