Details of the role and how it fits into the team

The Chief Risk Office function has Group-wide responsibility for the management and control of all credit, market, operational, enterprise and liquidity risks and has the responsibility of continual development of methods for risk measurement, frameworks and creating a bank wide strong risk culture.

Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) is a function within the Chief Risk Office. Enterprise Risk Management provides a holistic view of risk by working across risk types, businesses, and geographies. ERM has responsibility for risk strategy & appetite, risk research, stress testing, cross-risk portfolio management, climate & environmental risk, and is also the risk controlling function for credit risk.

The Cross Risk Analytics team is responsible for production of the Bank's strategic risk reports, such as the monthly Risk & Capital Profile (RCP) or Weekly Risk Report (WRR), as well as key Credit Risk Management portfolio reports. These reports provide comprehensive cross risk and credit risk specific overviews of the Deutsche Bank Group, as well as credit risk profile. They are used to inform the Group's Chief Risk Officer and CRO leadership team, as well as senior governance bodies, such as the Enterprise Risk Committee, the Group Risk Committee, and the Management and Supervisory Boards. They are also used in the interaction with Supervisory Authorities.

The team also conducts targeted risk reviews, ad-hoc analyses, and projects for senior management stakeholders when required. Such reviews can be complex in nature and require a significant amount of cross-risk and/or credit risk specific engagement and across multiple levels of seniority.

  • Responsible for supporting team head delivering key risk insight through the production and delivery of regular key risk reports for senior committees and regulators
  • Supporting critical ad hoc and thematic key risk reviews, including recommendations to senior management
  • Help coordinate CRO deliveries into the Investor Deep Dives, and quarterly risk deep-dives with the CFO
  • Engage with colleagues and subject matter experts across Market, Credit and Non-Financial Risk as well as Treasury, Compliance, Legal, Finance
  • Help drive automation improvements and use of AI
  • Support and work together with global team across Germany, India, US and London

Ihr Profil

  • Relevant university degree or equivalent
  • Previous experience in risk management or Finance within investment banking
  • Ability to influence and build relationships
  • A strong communicator, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly
  • Experience leading global teams
