Senior Portfolio Culinary Manager (m/f/d)

We are seeking a Senior Portfolio Culinary Manager (m/f/d) to lead and expand our culinary product portfolio, managing multiple producer relationships and our complete add-on range. This role encompasses end-to-end responsibility, from initial briefing and development to post-launch performance, margin analysis, and SKU optimization.

You will leverage your extensive expertise in food product development, supplier management, and commercial portfolio strategy, backed by a proven history in D2C food or food production organizations. Collaboration with Operations, Marketing, and Digital Product teams will be key to ensuring our meals meet both commercial and culinary expectations.

What you will do

  • Manage the complete development cycle for the Lunch and Dinner meal portfolio with core producer relationships, including: briefing, ingredient sourcing, recipe development, tasting, nutritional validation, packaging finalization, launch coordination, post-launch optimization, quality assurance, and commercial review.
  • Oversee the add-on portfolio through continuous optimization: regular performance reviews, SKU scoring, and category strategy implementation, rather than milestone-driven pipeline execution.
  • Provide strategic direction for producer lanes, focusing on pipeline, quality, and optimization.
  • Act as the primary liaison for OPS procurement on decisions impacting the culinary customer experience.
  • Lead portfolio performance reviews and SKU scoring for your designated categories.
  • Develop and implement a post-launch review framework.
  • Analyze customer insights and integrate findings into roadmap planning.
  • Monitor weighted average CM1 margin and drive improvements per lane by Q4 2026.

What you bring

  • Over 5 years of experience in food product management, culinary product development, or category management within a food production or D2C food environment.
  • Proven experience in managing producer or supplier relationships from start to finish.
  • Demonstrated commercial success, including managing margins, COGS, and performance data.
  • Strong commercial acumen: ability to identify successful strategies and address underperforming areas.
  • Capacity to rapidly build trust with producers and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in managing diverse operational rhythms concurrently.
  • A data-driven approach to portfolio decisions, including CM1 and attachment rate analysis.
  • Proactive in developing necessary systems and processes.
  • Ability to operate independently in ambiguous and fast-paced settings.
  • Excellent communication skills across departments: Operations, Marketing, Digital Product.
  • A deep passion for food and its cultural significance.
  • Fluency in English; German language skills are advantageous but not required.
