Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – Kubernetes/Platform - Berlin

If you're an experienced SRE who enjoys working close to the infrastructure and shaping how platforms evolve, this is a role with real ownership and impact.

The company is investing heavily in its platform - with a clear focus on Kubernetes, automation, and building a more scalable, modern infrastructure across a hybrid environment.

This isn't a "plug into an existing system" role. You'll be part of defining how things are built going forward.

Why this role stands out

  • High level of ownership across infrastructure and platform decisions
  • Strong focus on Kubernetes and modern platform engineering
  • Hybrid setup combining on-prem and cloud environments
  • Opportunity to influence architecture, tooling, and engineering standards
  • A stable environment with long-term investment into technology

What you'll be working on

  • Building and improving Kubernetes-based platforms
  • Working across infrastructure, networking, and system reliability
  • Driving automation and configuration management (Ansible and similar)
  • Improving monitoring, performance, and system resilience
  • Supporting the evolution towards a more scalable, API-driven environment

What they're looking for

  • Strong experience in Linux-based systems and infrastructure
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes
  • Solid understanding of infrastructure fundamentals (networking, storage, virtualisation)
  • Experience with automation tools (Ansible highly relevant)
  • Cloud exposure (e.g. GCP) is a plus, not essential
  • Fluent English

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys getting into the detail of systems, but also wants to have a say in how things are built and improved over time.

Hybrid working (around 3 days onsite) in Berlin or Frankfurt.
