The Opportunity

Imagine having the financial backing, international footprint, and resources of a massive, non-European global logistics giant, combined with the agility and autonomy of a standalone enterprise.

This multi-billion revenue freight forwarder is strategically restructuring. They are carving out their global Industrial Projects division from their standard freight operations into a completely separate, dedicated P&L. To spearhead this new era of specialized growth, they are appointing elite leadership across the globe—including a Senior Project Director to take total ownership of the Northern European region.

Historically dominant and highly respected in the Oil & Gas sector, the company is now leveraging its heavy-lift heritage to scale aggressively across renewables, infrastructure, and industrial manufacturing. This is not a maintenance role; it is a career-defining opportunity to build, lead, and scale a dedicated project logistics powerhouse.

What You Will Be Doing

• Total P&L Ownership: Drive the financial performance, margin strategy, and aggressive revenue growth for the Northern European Industrial Projects division.
• Commercial Leadership: Hunt, originate, and secure high-value project logistics opportunities. You will lead the charge on complex RFQs, tenders, and tailored commercial proposals.
• Technical & Operational Excellence: Oversee the end-to-end design and execution of massive, multimodal movements—taking ultimate responsibility for heavy-lift, breakbulk, and out-of-gauge (OOG) cargo.
• Team Building & Mentorship: Cultivate and lead a high-performing, collaborative regional team. You will set the standard for operational excellence on time-critical, milestone-driven deliveries.
• Strategic Stakeholder Management: Act as the senior commercial face of the business, forging long-term partnerships with EPC contractors, industrial clients, and vital subcontractor networks.

Who We Are Looking For

• A seasoned leader with a formidable track record in project logistics, industrial transportation, or heavy freight forwarding across international markets.
• A highly commercial mindset paired with a deep, technical understanding of heavy-lift, breakbulk, and OOG transport planning (including route assessments and risk mitigation).
• Proven experience managing a regional P&L and leading cross-functional teams to operational success.
• The ability to navigate and close complex, solution-driven contracts within the energy, EPC, and infrastructure sectors.

The Package & Setup

• Salary: €130,000 – €190,000 (dependent on experience and track record).
• Flexibility: High autonomy with the ability to operate from a home office or a regional branch, depending on your location and business needs.
• Travel: Occasional regional and international travel to support key projects and client growth.
