Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Finance and Administration Manager to take full ownership of Finance and core corporate functions of our German GmbH, Haier Energy Europe. This senior, stand-alone role covers finance leadership, accounting, tax, legal entity governance, and administrative HR, while coordinating external advisors.

Starting as a single-contributor position, the role will evolve as the company expands across Europe. The Finance and Administration Manager will serve as the key financial interface to Group HQ and a strategic partner to the leadership team, ensuring compliance, operational stability, and scalable structures while managing day-to-day financial operations with full ownership and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

Finance & Reporting

  • Full ownership of Finance as sole responsible person in Germany
  • Budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and reporting to Group HQ
  • Cash flow, liquidity planning, and financial risk monitoring

Accounting, Tax & Compliance

  • Oversee and take responsibility for accounting and closing (with external Buchhalter where applicable)
  • Ensure compliance with German GAAP, tax, VAT, and statutory requirements
  • Coordinate annual financial statements, audits, and tax filings
  • Maintain internal controls and financial policies

Legal Entity & Corporate Governance (GmbH)

  • Manage corporate governance and compliance of the German GmbH
  • Coordinate legal matters, contracts, and regulatory topics with external counsel
  • Ensure proper filings, documentation, and regulatory compliance

HR Administration & Operations

  • Coordinate payroll, contracts, and HR administration
  • Ensure compliance with German labor regulations
  • Manage and steer external providers (tax, legal, payroll, accounting, audit, insurance)

Scaling & Expansion

  • Build scalable finance and administrative structures
  • Support setup of future European branches/entities

Required Qualifications

Previous experience:

  • Proven experience as Finance Manager / Senior Accountant / similar role
  • Strong expertise in accounting, tax, and German compliance
  • Experience in a GmbH legal entity
  • Experience in external auditing (big 4 is a plus)

Skills:

  • Experience coordinating external advisors (tax, legal, payroll, audit)
  • Structured, reliable, and execution-focused
  • Hands-on, able to work independently in a stand-alone role
  • High level of integrity, reliability, and attention to detail

Languages:

  • Fluent English required; German strongly preferred
